Has anyone ever taken a GMP 1/24 scale Buick and painted it to match their car? I want to get one with a burgundy interior and then have it painted garnet red metallic to match my car. I know you can't "prep" it like a real car, so it would seem to be pretty difficult.

I've taken the 1:18's apart & painted them, but some parts don't come off (like the glass) so you'll have to tape off. Its not real hard. no real prep work required to paint other than just make sure they're clean, the new paint sticks well to the factory GMP paint.

some pics of copcars I've done:

Nice cars in that link.

I meant to say 1/18 GMP. I think I will give it a try. If I screw it up, I will just make it into a "restoration in progress" diorama. :)
