First, whats the best emblem adhesive to use and where can i get it? i only need it for the little intercooled emblems and i have brand new ones of everything else. also, anyone ever paint the sill plates? i was thinking of painting the black because theyre pretty beat up but was wondering how well that would hold up

new sill plates are only 70 bucks from GM if you want to keep them stock looking.

Older post ... but as I was trying to select an adhesive thought I'd mention this.

3M makes 2 emblem adhesives:

#08063
UltraPro emblem adhesive

#08061
emblem adhesive

The UltraPro seems a better choice because 3M claims "won't mar fully cured paint". The other adhesive is said to "may mar paint"

The UltraPro is also thicker and less likely to run while curing.

note: UltraPro comes in a brush-top can only.

For light duty use, 3M makes "Nameplate Repair Tape ", # 06385. 1/4" wide x .030" thick.

Also, 3M Attachment Tapes # 06377 (1/2" wide) and 06378 (7/8" wide) .

These would probably match the OEM install and be less messy to apply.
