Painting Front Mount Pipes

Any of you guys ever do this? My front mount intercooler piping is getting a little pitted and I'm looking to clean it up some. I could send them out for powder coating but I want to see what I can do to it. I'll give it a good sanding and primer coat then spray the color. Whats your guys experience with this and what paint do you recommend?

Appliance paint might dress them up pretty nicely.

Ppg base coat. Clear coat
With a 1/2 teaspoon more hardner in the clear.
