I'd like everything to be right before I paint (afterwards also, I hope)
Terminolgy - What do you call the piece that is on the front of the car?
It's the piece between the front of the hood and the bumper. It's also where the hood ornament was mounted on Regals. It encloses the headlights. Is that the header panel?
I'm going to call it the front cowl for now (out of ignorance)
Should the cowl be flush with the front of the fenders on the sides? Mine aren't
Also, the front of the hood on the driver's side is much closer to the cowl than that on the passenger's side. It's like the front of the car got pushed back on the driver's side, but the hood stayed in place
The back of the hood looks okay on both sides, as does the gap between the sides of the hood and the fenders.
Think I just even confused myself, but if anyone knows what I'm talking about and knows how to fix it, let me know.
Thanks
Paul

That's the header panel.
it should be flush/even with the fenders (line up the body lines on the side)
The hood is a crap shoot. These cars were less then well, square.
I've tried to get my hood "perfectly" akigned and, it's not going to happen. (and I'm in the body biz)
