A non-enthusiast friend of mine has an original unmodified 87 GN. He needs a fuel pump tomorrow. I never worked on a time frame like that but found a part number for a Walbro BCSKGSS340. This is supposedly the Walbro OEM part number that he could possibly buy from a local retailer if they can match it up. It's a 255lph pump for a Mustang and the bottom looks correct for a GN stock replacement with just a new sock. Can anyone confirm this is the right part number?

He lives in a rural community and doesn't have access to performance parts or time to wait for an order. I want him to spend a bunch of money on the car but he's not going to since it's just an occasional cruiser.

I'd walk away. Doing a job like that twice just because you can't wait a couple days sounds like the beginning of a nasty trend. (that's assuming a non standard pump doesn't cause extra work like a head gasket or a blown engine).

I'm not doing the work. Just trying to get him a part number that will not be a waste of time. He owns a shop and has a mechanic that can change the pump. I told him to stop getting on it and just cruise.
