Pass exhaust manifold and THDP

I am having a hard time putting my pass exhaust manifold on with the THDP. I have the top piece of the THDP off. I just cant slide the header past it. Any tips are appreciated.

I have had mine off the car twice and I always did them from below. Might want to try giving that a whirl. I have a Mease DP though.

I was hoping to get it from the top. I got it off from the top. But not going back in easy. lol I was hoping I did not have to unbolt the test pipe and drop the DP. But I will if it comes down to it.

There is your first problem...trying to do an easy task on a TTA! I learned that after changing the oil for the first time. haha

I have always unbolted the crossover and test pipe. Makes life much easier when working on it.

Hi,

It's much easier to seperate the test pipe, it then gets much lighter. Polish the male side of the down pipe with emery sand paper and spray it with penetrant. Maybe even clean the female side a bit.

I got it. I loosened up the 4 bolts flange on the back of the test pipe and got it to slide in.
