dont have to but it would save a heck of a head ache.

If you take the wheel off and do most of the work from the bottom it will come out and go back in relatively easy. ;)

I use the 1/2" hole in the plastic fenderwell and long 3/8" drive extension for the back stud, and when reinstalling I cut off all the unused studs to make them more like a normal bolt which is easier to get more types of wrenches on instead of deep sockets etc.

Thanks Salvage. This tip are for passenger side or drivers side?

Both sides.

Take a look down there with the wheel off, you may be able to do it all rather easily with hand wrenches without drilling any holes. ;)

I’ve had my passenger side manifold out a couple of times and I did not remove the turbo. This is what I had to do:
1) Remove turbo shield (If you have one)
2) Un-bolt the DP
3) Un-bolt the CAT hanger from the tranny (For more DP movement)
4) Un-bolt the crossover pipe. (I took mine completely out)
5) Un-bolt the manifold inlet from turbo inlet
6) Remove the passenger tire
7) Remover the spark plug wires (Number them if needed)
8) Remove all of the header flange bolts (From the top and/or through the wheel well)
9) You may have to twist and turn but the manifold will come out through the top.
One word of advice, if your headers and DP are coated you will want to drape some towels over them because they will get bumped on the way out. Good luck.
