Passenger Side Mirror

Does anyone repair, sell, or have a Repair kit for the passenger door mirrors with the remote feature? I would send my mirror off to get repaired if I had to. I have been chasing a used one for months now with no luck. Are there any DIY repair write ups or something?

What was your outcome? My driver's side remote mirror does not operate with the joystick. Any lead on how to fix or where to obtain replacement parts (87 GN)? Thanks in advance

Start taking stuff apart and look at it. If the three cables have stretched over the years, the spring preload will be gone and it'll stop working.

It seems like my solution years ago was to stretch the outer jacket and wind safety wire in the gap to reintroduce some preload.
