Just took the GN out for a quick grocery run. Driving home, I had the windows down, since it is a nice day. The passenger side window will not roll back up now.

- Passenger power window rolled down.
- Will NOT roll back up with either driver's or passenger side switch
- Never had this issue before

Here is my question.

What/where should I start looking to troubleshoot?

I am a bit of a noob, but am learning as time goes on.

Usually it's caused by a wornout motor. Try removing the lower door panel and tapping on the window motor housing with a long extension. If it works after that, you've found the problem.

It can be either the drivers side switch that runs the passenger window or else the passenger side switch.

Both have to work properly to open and close the window.

First wiggle back and forth on/off, a lot, the drivers side passenger window switch and then try to close it via both switches.

Then do the same with the passenger side switch and try both switches to close it.

It may also be that one of the wires between the doors broke. This occurs in the rubber boot section from the door being opened and closed. At this time the Wife's regal is this way. To get the window up I grounded the pin on the passenger side switch. This is the wire that is broken.

To prevent the window from being rolled down again I unplugged the passenger side switch. Still need to pull the boot back and fix the broken wire. Most likely it is in the drivers side boot as that is the side that gets used the most.
