Oct 20, 2014 #4 salvageV6 Daily Driver Joined May 25, 2001 Messages 20,996 Look inside the arm, if it's all chewed up and the ribs are gone you need a new one. Same with the fixed mount part, white metal, if it's chewed up you need to replace that part which isn't easy. I just drilled and tapped a couple of 4-40 or #6 (don't remember) screws in mine with loctite.
