hi this is maybe an easy one but can't get it to stay in the housing.it popes out when i snap the clip in to give it tenyion anyone have this problem .thanks for shimming in .in advance .

its not the blade its the arm .it keeps popping out from the pivot arm the slide clip is not holding it in place .

Look inside the arm, if it's all chewed up and the ribs are gone you need a new one.

Same with the fixed mount part, white metal, if it's chewed up you need to replace that part which isn't easy.

I just drilled and tapped a couple of 4-40 or #6 (don't remember) screws in mine with loctite.

salvage v6 yep that's what it is thanks for your reply have a great day.

I tried some shims to take up the slack, thin brass, that may work short term, but not in the winter snow and ice.

Space age epoxies didn't work either too much side force on it I guess. :(
