Well, I don't know what transpired in the "drug transaction" but if a truck with bling wheels roared up on me and men jumped out, I would get the Hell outta there!!!!

God can only protect you but so much, ya gotta look out for yourself.

Good reply!! Seriously, they should have had police outfits on or something saying police, dea or something, they were in white t-shirts in a blinged out black SUV running at them with guns...WTF did the pastor do wrong but try to get away from danger..

EXACTLY guys. The issue is simple, police should always have to I.D. themselves w/ badges, not voice alone. Most all of us would have run.
Also to bump an officer w/ a truck in reverse as he runs toward the truck is not you using deadly force, its a cop looking for a reason to shoot. This is another good plan executed poorly and the innocent dies again. Seriously, you needed to bling an Escalade, wear thug gear to do surveillance?! Something smells like crap.

Yep!

Undercover officers should wear a uniform, drive a marked car,[Honda Accord be OK?], say please, thank you...It's called "undercover" for a reason.
Maybe, just maybe, they didn't know the "right reverand" was ignorant of the fact he was hauling a crack whore/dealer around.[Or, maybe they did, and he is/was part of the drug ring.]
As for the "blinged out" SUV.. Could it have been a car that was confiscated in a previous op??
Maybe, B4 the police get thrown under the bus, the rest of the story should be told????

What’s so hard about “plain clothes” Doing the intelligence gathering and “uniforms” doing the take down?

Stupid ship like this adds so many questions and what ifs that it hurts the cops big time.

At a glance.
1-Some thugs in an SUV roll up with guns out- At this point in am dead- What are my options to try and live? Run the phucker over and hope to comeback to life.

2-The “proper” (hopefully) intelligence was gathered.
And some COPS in uniforms jump out of an unmarked SUV-at this point I am caught. And if I still try to run the phucker over the video will show with out a doubt what my intentions whir. No questions no hate no abuse no extra BS.

Plain clothes Sucks for every one.
i have 3 good friends that are now plain clothes cops and i pray for the every night. Http://www.nydailynews.com/news/ny_...-05-28_black_cop_killed_by_white_officer.html

Had it been me, the story would have read: Police shoot a man who opened fire on them while they were trying to question him in a drug operation. I'd definitely be packin' if I were in crack-town.

God can only protect you but so much.......for those other times, there's the .45 auto !!

1-If they new that he had a crack dealer with him the undercover work was already done. Make sense?
2-Not the point- Did he (dead guy) positively know it was cops jumping out of the truck or thugs?
3-Uniforms could have been in the blacked out SUV. Again-So why not have uniforms do the take down?

I am not saying that the cops are wrong in this one as the video is not a good one. I am just questioning how the system works.

Your post about discharging firearms against people will be found if you ever find yourself in court for such an offense. I wouldnt want to try to explain your previous statement to a judge.

I have a somewhat different outlook on death. When its your time, its your time. Gunshot, heart attack, whatever..... Just do the best you can while you' re here.

There is nothing legally wrong with his statement. Now if he said that he would purposely shot at cops.........that is a different story...but in that situation I would probably return fire as well IF THEY DIDN'T IDENTIFY THEMSELVES....can't really tell how well they did that from the video. He isn't saying that he would open fire on Police Officers intentionally. He is saying that if a whole bunch of 'thugs' jumped out of an blinged out SUV with guns he would defend himself. As would I. Of course, if you don't have a permit for the weapon (I do) then you are already in a hole...but better in a hole with the law then dead.

As for previous statements....this situation just sucks all around. Have uniforms do the bust? That probably would have prevented this from happening, but that just isn't the way they CURRENTLY do business...maybe it should be, but maybe there is a reason they don't? I don't know. I am not a cop and don't know what goes into the set up of these situations. My thoughts go to his widow and unborn child.

1. Undercover doesnt have to be threatening...when you are blowing your cover in the bust ....I dunno hold up an i.d.?!
2. The Pastor was getting money to help someone in need is the story they are telling. He had no idea who he ha w/ him, he regularly did this. Its called benevolence.
3. Blinged out escalade is undercover?! I guess by defination any unmarked car is undercover.

I know people hate it when the public jumps a cop, but the public hates it when the cops act like $35k a year workers and kill someone w/o warrant.
If I approach a cop in the same manner (run up behind him screaming after jumping out of a blinged escalade) he kills me then too, where is the logic? The badge is a license to shoot first, make excuses later.

Thanks for the tip jasjamz!!! I prefer to keep the status of my armament undercover, but, if I am in genuine fear for my life, I will be ready. Forgive me for I sometimes forget that there are some areas that have chosen to give up their 2nd Amendment right to bear arms and that they forget that many of us choose to retain ALL the rights given to us by The Constitution of the United States of America !!!

I respect the Law, and I value my life and prefer to continue to live a long life without a bunch of thugs in a "blinged up" SUV infringing upon my right to live. I refuse to join the ranks of the "sheeple" that are blindly giving up their right to think for themselves, much less their right to defend themselves. I am a survivor !!!

Sorry to sound harsh, but someone very nearby was railroaded by the police recently in a similar incident, but it was the police officer that lost his life. I try my damndest to keep the police at the top of my list of people I respect, but when I see things like this, it is difficult.
