I recently replaced my PCV valve (albeit a cheap-o brand from auto-zone) and I am constantly getting oil sucked up through the PCV tube and into the throttle body through the vacuum block.

Do you guys recommend getting a check valve or would you say getting a better brand (i.e. AC Delco) would help.. or is there another problem totally? I have a passenger side valve cover breather but I still have the stock oil fill cap on the driver's side. Will replacing this help?

Thanks

Tim

You're not alone. I've been thinking of moving mine into the valve cover. Installing a check valve has been a 50/50 fix for some folks. And my engine has never been open, so the factory valley pan is still there and apparently not doing it's intended job (at least not shielding the PCV).
