pcv valve? sorry

i know this may be stupid but i have made all the searches and cant find if the pcv valve will cause a vacume leak . got car back together ran fine went to back it out of garage and it died when i started it back up it ran like it had a big vac leak but cant find any all i could see was the pcv vavle out of manifold put it back in but still ran bad . please help alot of time into to car and no driving in a year

It does sound like you have a vac leak. Check the Sticky: Basic Hotair Info! And see if a hose is loose or reversed.
