Getting a TT chip that's burned for the injectors and whatever high grade pump gas you have available
Upgrading to 42lb/hr matched flowing injectors or at most 60 lb/hr matched flowing injectors
Upgrading to a high performance flowing fuel pump with a hotwire kit
Installing an adjustable fuel pressure regulator
Installing stiffer valve springs to replace the tired stockers
Putting a stretched stock location intercooler in place of the smaller stock intercooler
Doing the Spring Cleaning preventative maintenance
Ensuring Timing set is good
Going to a cold air intake setup
Making sure the Transmission is in good operating condition

Without tearing the heads off the engine or swapping out the camshaft, would all net you alot more stability and performance gains for your money & time.
You'd be wasting money and time upgrading the stock intake with a 3.5" pipe from turbo & changing the Downpipe to a 3" unit with the stock turbo still in place.

Thanks for the replies & suggestions. Earl, I have 2 cars I'm working on, and very limited budget. I do what I can with limited resources and a lot of my own elbow grease. Would that I could throw money at it without a care. ;)

It's always cheaper to do it twice than right.

(I only talk about head gaskets and/or crankshafts on round two)

I've never seen .2 locking a stock converter. .08-.1 was normal. I have seen almost 3 mph though. The biggest reduction in e.t. Only occurs if it's locked at the correct time.

It has to be a Kenne Bell converter to get you .2 and 2 MPH :D

Some of you have mentioned replacing the stock intercooler/removing the intercooler restriction...is there a topic on the forum that expands upon this? I've seen the one where somebody completely fabricated his own intercooler...obviously that's out of the question. Thank you!
