Hey guys, I have just picked up a new project car. Like the Buick it is sort of a bas#$rd car. It's a domestic but not rwd v-8 so it will not fit at the cruise in. It's fwd and powered by a foreign engine but the imports don't want to claim it either so I'll probably be shunned at the local Game Stop hang out too. Like the T, it is turbo and was fairly quick for what it was when new. In my opinion next to the Buicks, these cars were probably instrumental in introducing turbo performance to more people than any other car line.
What car am I talking about? The Diamond-Star triplets. I just bought a '90 Plymouth Laser RS turbo. It's the 5-spd fwd version but I didn't get it to race. It's going to end up being my run about. Car needs paint but the body and interior is pretty decent. It had been parked several years due to a faulty fp. PO got tired of it taking up space so they put a new pump in and sold it. Lucky me. :headbang:
I had a Talon TSI-AWD back in the early 90's and it was an awesome little car. I had always hoped to get another one someday. My plans call for just some tlc, a general freshen up, a cheapie paint job, and basic free mods. I can't let it take money away from the Buick now, can I?
