PICS or INFO Please: TA PERF 3.5" DOWN PIPE

Anyone running a TA Performance 3.5" downpipe please let me know your thoughts and if you had any fitment issues.

Clearance to the A/C box OK? Clearance to the frame OK?

HR motor mounts on both side? DS only?

Stock body mount bushings or newer poly / whatever body mounts?

I am running the TA 3 1/2 dp. I love it. I had zero fitment issues. It fit so well I second guessed that it fit that great and added a couple clearance dents just to feel like I did something. But everyone's car is a little different as we all know. I was very impressed with their quality and workmanship. There was a thread on here a while back that I took some pics of it and posted. Let me see if I can find a link to it. I do not have HR mounts, I have stock mounts though they may have been replaced at some time. I do have the RJC engine brace for an extra anchor.

What's your motor mount / body mount situation? All stock?

I'm not sure how old my body mounts are. If they have been replaced I'm sure they just did a stock replacement. They are on my winter project list just because of not knowing and I'm sure they have some age on them even if they were replaced. I also have a lot of body braces as you probably read in my signature. I am sure this helps stabilize things too. Plus that RJC engine brace locks that motor in place.

Ok, just installed mine yesterday. stock headers, new poly body bushings and new hr motor mounts, both of them.
First off the downpipe is very nice . The first try I had it within 4" of bolting it up. went under the car to look and it was wedged between the floor and the ac.
So since I am not taking the ac out, I went ahead and rolled the floor a little bit, I am talking like 1/2" right where it goes from flat to where it starts to go up on the angle. Plenty off room on the A-arms, but it is still hitting the frame a little bit. From what I read on the HR mounts there is adjustment in there to make room for this. I hope this helps you out .

So it was tough to get in? Did you try rotating it as it went it? My old 3" will only go in if I turn it 360 deg while dropping it down. How much room relative to the A/C box with yours?

Yep, just stock motor mounts. Mine was a tight fit for sure. I had off my manifolds to plane back flat to fix a couple leaks and that made it much easier, especially for all the test fitting and taking in and out. Then when I had it fit right, I just left it loose and installed the manifold. With the play of having the DP loose I was able to get to all the manifold bolts and get them all torqued down. But don't get me wrong, nothing on that passenger side is fun to work on at all.

Yep, it has to be spun when sliding it down. Mine is pretty much on the heat shield for the AC, it is tight in that area. For the size of the pipe it fits really good

That is no joke about the passenger side. I had a hell of time with the HR mount on that side. I should have taken the starter out but I didnt
