Picture of engine lit up on my Sebring dash

I have a 2002 Sebring convertible with 43000 miles. Was driving it today and picture of motor lit up and chime sounded. Per owner's manual, it could be climate control related or emissions. Says to check gas cap to make sure it is on. I checked it and it was on. Can anybody offer advice on where to look? Could it be a vacuum hose or a bad sensor that made the light come on? thanks.

Anything can set those check engine lights on. Probably emission related but take it to a dealer or mechanic and they can hook it up to a diagnostic tool and tell you exactly what it is.

Could be something simple like the gas cap. I know you say you checked it and it was on, but you have to make sure it clicks otherwise the EVAP system can register that as an emissions leak. By the time you go back and tighten the cap, it's too late, the code has already been set. Find a buddy with a scan tool unless there's a free trick to reading the trouble codes on Chrysler products.

Go to Auto Zone and have them scan for you and then post code.Dont buy any parts until you post code or have a tech look at it.Zone is good at selling parts.Just had a rodeo that zone said needed 4 o2 sensors because of lean codes.Had an intake gasket leaking.So be careful. those cars are good for leak detection pumps going bad.part of the evap system.good luck

I forgot to say that I did bring it to Autozone and he hooked up his obd2 scanner (or whatever it is called) and it indicated the emmissions problem. I don't think it indicated an exact part at fault, like "bad spark plug" or "bad O2 sensor". Should I go back to AZ and get more info for you guys? Also, he said he couldn't clear the code for liability reasons. So if the code isn't cleared, will it light up everytime I start the car? Should I clear the code (don't know how) and then see if it comes on again? Thanks.
