Steve,

Car ran unofficially on 24psi and fat tune. Long story, but we didn't data log any passes during the race - no time to tune.

Had we tuned on the car that night, I might have gotten a 9 second pass and DQ'd from the event for going too fast.

I would have liked to see more of a human interest piece on all of the racers, but as you could see.. they squeezed alot into just 1 hour.

Car weighs 3780lb including driver.
Yes, I think I would have beat the truck, but who knows.

Thanks for watching, John.

Good showing John, Thanks for taking your car there. Too bad you couldn't have gotten larger bets on your first 2 rounds. But then you might have gave it all back on round 3. Thanks again.

Loved Pinks Last Night!

I must say, that John (the 87 Grand National) was a real good sport in the final 4 even though the whole trans-brake thing happened.

Definitely showed great sportmanship, regardless, which says a lot.

Some of the other people were just cursing, carrying on, etc=

2 Thumbs Way Up for a Great Show, and Awesome Car!

I stopped watching pinks, well maybe the first 5 minutes at the most but I actually enjoyed new the show. They didn't have to cue the violins ( wha, your car is faster , I wanna start at the 1/8 mile mark , whaa whaa whaaa ) There was a red twin turbo'd first gen camaro I saw going through tech? near the start of the show. I dont recall seeing it run. Looked intresting though. To bad John rolled, your car sounded great, was one of a couple that looked stock too. I bet the remaining competition breathed a sigh of relief the buicks were eliminated.

what happened to the silver/gray t.....

Looks like he blew something on his pass. Saw some flamage under the car on his run. Did he blow a head gasket???
Congratulations to John on making it to the final 4. I tell ya, I wanted to see you take out that truck:biggrin: That truck was SWEET:).
one question, I know what sandbagging on a pass is, what is that other thing they where disqualifying people for???
So it was more of a bracket race then heads up???

Sandbagging = peddling which they were booting people for both. Indeed it was like a bracket race, they set it for 10 seconds and that chic got out of it and still ran a 9.4 (I think) so they booted her. Same deal with that Camaro, he ran something like a 9.7 and they sent him packing.

The best part was when they were pairing up the original top 16. The one dude says "we got a 1987 Grand National" and Rich replies "Ahhh a crowd pleaser". :D

they played the show twice in a row last night, had to watch it both times:biggrin: good to see the turbo regals....the truck was gonna be hard to beat.the little mazda was cookin it too:eek: lookes more fair than past episodes, eliminated the guy who went too fast in the camaro:biggrin: fun to watch, cash was a big plus, and not worring about losing your car for something stupid(like forgeting to set transbrake:rolleyes: )he did better than me, i get too nervous:p
