PINKS: times please, whats up?

I like the show PINKS. I've heard about along time ago, but recently I started watching more. I just wish they would show the e.t. somewhere on the screen...I guess that wouldn't justify the cool dude flagging them and having all that drama about "how many cars are you gonna give him?"
But, they should flash their times if it's heads up, start to finish. I'm freaking curious how my ride would compare to most all of the rides they show. lame.

That would kinda kill the 'street race' slant of the show. I'm sure you've been to the strip and seen a few n/t cars run.

Catch an "all out" episode (which are better imo) and you get to hear some of those cars times. The show seems to go with 10 sec cars, but I think that probably varies more in the other episodes. I saw one that had an 80's fwd Olds against a ratrod. Pretty sure you could handle that.:biggrin:

On Pinks most people don't run the car all out. Its streetracing.....just enough to fender your opponent and take their ride!!!

I e-mailed them last week and stated that I would like to see some real street cars that run 11.50-11-70 or so on dot's, no roll bars or stickers
plastered all over the car, we all like to see low 8 sec-to 11sec., cars but lets see some
real street cars.
they did e-mail be back and said that all they need to do was pass tech and that they would like to do just that at some point down the road was to run those types of cars.

Yup real street cars would be nice. I've watched the show a couple times but everyone was running high-dollar stuff that I couldn't really relate to.

I just watched an episode, it was a "race car looking" Chevelle on slicks vs. a very "street Looking" Iroc on Drag Radials. It was filmed in Texas. Anyway it was pretty interesting, the Iroc looked like it would get smoked by the chevelle, but it was the other way around. The Iroc was a 383 on Nitrous. Atleast it looked streetable so that was cool for me.

The local Buick club (Lone Star Performance Buick club) here in N. Texas is in the process of building a 10 sec TR for PINKS. Build time may take up to 2 yrs? We are looking for another (club) TR to race against. Anyone interested?
We don't want to run against a Brand X BB with NOS, we wanted to do a all Buick show. I think the show would go for that match up, the Buicks seem to be pretty popular at the All Out events.

That would be cool, but I can't wait two years! I'd like to see that though. I have only seen 1 GN on an All Out episode. Nyugen?? I think was the name. It's been a while back. I'd definatley like see more Turbo Buicks run on PINKS. A good ol Mustang vs. GN or Vette vs. GN would also be a sweet show. IMO.

Thanks. Our webmaster (Danster on this board) does a great job! Yes we do get to BG from time to time. We usually have several members that go every year. A couple racing and at least 2 showing the past couple of years.
I went in '06 without the car though but had a blast anyway! One of these days with the GN. Be sure to check out the Newsletter archives, there is some great stuff in there!
