pinstriping removal

Just took the factory stick on pin stripe off the pass. side of the '86 using a hair dryer ( to heat it) and then peeling it off by hand, my Question is, is there an easier way to remove the pin stripe and what is the best thing to use to remove the glue strip left behind were i have already removed the one pin strip.

plastic razor blades are great to use so you don't scratch or gauge the paint. they can be found at a body shop supply store.
