PL and SM question

So I purchased a scan master and a power logger...the power logger came with a 2.2 upraised forties can master...my question is that I haven't installed either yet do to resto in progress, but should I install the 2.2 chip in the scan master right away or should I install it first with 2.1 then switch it to the 2.2?

Ok we'll first my car has the stock 84 ecm in it.....second I bought a 86/87 ecm and cal pac from 1987GNASTROROOF.......now I'm installing the power logger.....I have never tried the scan master (only a few weeks old) and was wondering if I can go ahead and switch it to the 2.2 and then install it to my computer and car and just put away the original 2.1 or do I have to install the 2.1 first then take it apart and install the 2.2

So your saying with the 2.2 when hooked up to the power logger only works with a lab top.....I was hoping to still read engine data without the computer just off the scan master

Ty.....installed power logger to my 86/87 ecm and put the 2.2 chip in the scan master...just need to get a wb....is there a wb with boost as well as a/f
