Guys, what would cause a slight rattle sound coming from under the car, passenger side when you take your foot of the gas. Lets say light throttle. It rattles then goes away. The sound came on slowly over the course of a year and got louder. I can't pinpoint it. ( cause I'm deaf in one ear........ Long story) Any ideas to steer me in the right direction.
Thanks.

Passenger side bushings gone, cooked by downpipe? Close visual inspection is easy.
Loose converter bolt(s), loose converter shield?
Belt issues tensioner slap...
Exhaust leak....

All good info. Front end completely rebuilt. Downpipe not touching frame. I checked that( some people say that worn motors mounts would cause impact of downpipe. I changed the motor mounts to solid Hardparts and stuff style about three years ago. Love them. Did the tensioner not long ago. Not a bad job. Doesn't sound like an exhaust leak. Had my fair share of those. I will check the convertor bolts and shield. Thanks for the info.

Smoke test the exhaust system . The fact that it got louder points to a leak getting worse .

I do have a smoke machine I got from Amazon. Its garbage but it kind of works. The sound, ,sounds a bit tinner though and only when you take your foot off the throttle. . I'll give it a shot with the smoke machine to rule it out. . I will try to record the sound on my cell phone. I know its hard to diagnose a sound from someone describing it.

Rap on the converter. The brick may be broken up.
Put your good ear up!;)
I'm lucky... I can turn my aids volume up.

check the downpipe puck arm tension , not usually an rjc pipe issue but have seen bent puck bracket inside pipe that caused puck to rattle
also check the steel transmission cooler lines for rattle

Thanks Pace. Don't think its the puck arm I just had the RJC down pipe off about a month ago. Also great advise.
