I bought a shorty chrome intake pipe & KN kone filter from huffmans.
I took the instructions out about 1 month ago to glance at it & too make sure the stuff I bought was in the box.

You guessed it - I never put the instructions back & can't find them when install time comes around.

I was able to take the factory housing off & remount the
charcoal canister ok.
I even installed the Cold air kit with ease. Now I have the Maf sensor hanging. so I taped it up & tied it off.

WHAT IS THE OTHER GRAY SENSOR? that was in the elbow of the stock unit?
I put this into a pre drilled hole in a rubber grommet
that reduces the KN down to the Chrome inlet pipe.

Is it OK to ELIMINATE the MAF?

Thanks for any replys in advance.. Still learning..

You did buy the kit above right?

NO, you can't eliminate the maf. It's arguably the most important sensor on the car. They're all important, but you get my drift.:)

The maf should go in between the pipe & the filter. If you bought the whole kit, then the necessary hoses/clamps come with it according to Mark's site.

The mat sensor (mass air temp.) is what you put in the pre-drilled hole, & you did the right thing.

Maybe these instructions will help.

Yes

Yes I bought the kit in the link..

I thought I goofed!

Will go back & put the MAF unit back in ASAP..

Originally I tried the MAF but it swam inside the two rubber grommets.. Wonder if they are the wrong size gromment?
I will have to measure..

Thanks for the instruction link.
