Went to the track, it was running good very good turn out in vegas this sat. ok i had about 104 let in the tank and this cool guy did the trottle cable trick by adjusting it back 1 click ran way better .but when i was driving home i decided to give it a little wot and i soon as i did the car would spool then sort off stumble like pulling back i dont know if it is the throttle trick or what. so please i need your help very worried about my only baby. Thanx in advance.:(
 
It's not what he did with the throttle. Sounds like he actually adjusted the TV cable back one click to slightly change the tranny shift points. It sounds more like one of the other hundreds of possibilities for this problem. I might as well ask first, any scan tool data when it stumbles you can give?

no scan tool i konw i should have one but im going too hopefully direct scan but when it's at wot it sort of pulls back like if it cut's off and goes back too wot constantly. would leaving the cable one click back affect it and is it hard to install direct scan thanx for da help.:confused:
 
No, the TV adjustment cannot cause your problem. As already said, it adjusts the shift point which also helps firm up the shifts. Have you upgraded your fuel pump/filter? My car did what you describe on the old pump when the fuel level was low. BTW, that's NOT good. One possibility of MANY is a clogged sock/filter or a lazy pump. Of course, it could be entirely different.
 
Hope fully ill find out when i order my scan tool today but thanx ill check the filter and the pump. but it's weird as soon as i blast at wot it runs then 15 seconds later it pulls back than blast's again and pulls back again like it shut's off the power and regains it . this happens constantly in a wot. and even when im just on 35mph. and i tapp it and it does that again.weird i need a scan tool??
 
That's strange. The scan tool prolly won't tell you what is causing this, but you need it anyway. I'm a little confused. You say that it pulls strong for 15 seconds at WOT?

What fuel pump do you have? When did you replace the filter last?

Also, it's possible that it's not fuel related at all.
 
I would check the O2 sensor seeing how you have been running some 104 and look at the IC hoses....
 
You don't have fuel pump in your list of mods. Is this an Oversight?

A stock fuel pump will perform exactly as you describe, with your mods.
 
well i do have a gss 307 and i dont know if it's fuel related i dont know if the filter have been change ive owned it about 8 month's. ill check for everything but when at wot the power is there but it losses it and comes back and losses it i can even hear the snorting when the power is shut off and comes back again and shut's off, it does this constantly.
 
well checked everything like intercooler hoses , vaccum leaks i still cant find something did i miss something. i havent started it up yet. damm i wish i had a scan tool but dont know wich one should i get i even have a laptop for tl , or ds.:confused:
 
Scantool: It's really dependent upon your use, do a search and you will find mountains of stuff and pro's/con's for each. At this time I use Scanmaster because I felt it fits my current needs, but that doesn't mean I won't move to something else one day.

Fuel system: It may not be your current problem, but is possible.

Regardless, if you're not 100% sure your pump/sock/filter are relatively new or in good condition, these are things you need to go fast, period. I suggest at a minimum you need to have this and a scantool before you can crank on it. It's not like you are throwing parts to solve a problem, you need them even if they don't solve your problem.
 
dam still cant find the problem, well i ordered my scan tool hopefully it help's if not gonna have to find some one good to check it.:(
