Ok, who knows what causes this. I'm guessing it's maybe adding a little xylene to the tank or maybe the octane booster from Full Throttle. Anyone? View attachment 283115 View attachment 283115 View attachment 283116

MMT - octane boost, will cause the red residue.

By the way, hopefully those aren't from a Buick (wrong plug).

Yup, octane booster. Hope you're not running iron heads...

Stay away from Xylene and use Toluene and stay away from all that "over the counter" octane booster crap, it is a marketing gimmick. Gap your plugs and lower your boost or just go buy some 105 octane race fuel and add a few gallons when you fill your tank with 93 and not that E85 crap. Why people think this engine is different than any other engine is strange too me, it is NOT rocket science!

Air/fuel/spark is the key ;).

Now this is just MY opinion but if you use the KISS method (no not the band) you will be a step ahead of the game.

Flame suit on and no disrespect intended, just my opinion.

What are those plugs from? And what Chuck said. Why even post those pics? Maybe you can try the zoom function if you're scared to get too close? [emoji16]
