In one way I'm pround to own an Impala SS. :D In another way I hope it doesn't get stolen.

At least he didnt wreck.

Those Oklahoma troopers new exactly what they were doin, Those trooper cars will run all day long with that SS on the Highway, theres no reason to get right up on somebody unless ur tryin to pit em. I know Chicagos Crown Vics wont run anywhere close to that. They backed off cuz they knew they had eyes in the air--its a nice luxury to have. That guy is gonna get hammered bigtime out there. I wonder how long a turbo car could go like that before the turbo explodes?

That's a good question. I wouldn't think for long. It would probably melt!

I had a friend of mine outrun the GHP in a Saab 9000 turbo once. Did it in about 20 or 30 miles. When he got back the turbo was glowing a beatuiful hue of red. He started it up let it run for a short while to cool down.

I really really doubt that... Impalla SS have a pretty stout topend pull for a barge, and the crown vics are really not impressive anywhere although they can cruise at 130 or so pretty well it just takes forever to get there. The SS was pullin away because he could... with ease. If im not mistaken you are a police officer though? or do i have you confused with somebody else?

If he's chicago pd they only had l99 caprice's(4.3 v8) I could understand him thinkin the vics were faster. The acceleration of the caprice is superior to the vic, braking is another story :( last I checked stock impala's don't do 160. The car was obviously modified anyway.
