porportioning valve installation????

Im trying to install one of these valve on my car. Im trying to get more presure to the back brakes so I can hold more boost.

1)Do you have to remove the factory porportioning ( Spelling??) valve when installing a after market one?
2) Are there anything tricks to installing this?
3) How much more boost will I be able to hold if I put one of these in?
4) Will it be safe to drive the car on the street?

I don't run the proportioning valve. You don't remove the oem one, the new one takes over. The more you screw down the new valve, the more boost you'll be able to hold...but realize that the more you screw down the valve, the less effective your front brakes become! Another option is a bypass valve. Ron Joseph sells them. You can hold rediculous boost in the rain on street tires and when you let go of the button, you have fully functional, normal braking. Should you elect to go this route, take all hardware that comes with the kit and deposit into nearest 'round- file'. Use double flared lines and brass 'T' connectors and you're set. There are several threads on this, a search may answer your Q's.
