This might help. My 86 T-type was nonpossi along with my buddys 87 GN. But that didnt last long before it got upgraded on both cars.

Not neccesarily. Look in the trunk at the RPO codes. If it has a posi it should say G80.

My 86 T-type didn't come with a posi. First thing I did when I bought it was installed one.

Posi was always a option until they extended the production in 87 then the posi was mandatory part of the GN package
