poston headers

i was wondering who would have the best price for a pair of after market headers for my 85 GN.Or a set of good used ones.

I did a search on headers a while ago to figure out which ones to get when i am ready. It seems atr is the best and right now aggressive is having a sale on the kit which includes headers, cross over pipe, up pipe, and down pipe. reg price 988 on sale for 15% off, i am going to buy a set.

I bought a set of Poston headers for my 85GN and they work very well. My only problem with them is that the replacement uppipe(solid) simply does not fit. The stock uppipe is braided and has adjustable flanges which allows the passenger side header to work. My solution after trying the solid uppipe replacement was to find good used parts. This is cheaper than replacing the Poston headers.
My advice-Buy a setup which matches from the start. Brad

I have the poston set-up as well...Header, X-over and an ATR up-pipe. WHen the car did run, all these parts fit perfectly, no leaks. Poston headers and X-over were only like 588, not 1000 like atr

Yeah but the 1000 for atr came with the headers, x-over, up pipe, and 2.5" down pipe. According to your statement you paid 588 for just headers and x-over, now add 75-100 for the up pipe and another 140 for the down pipe and you are at 800-850 and aggressive is selling the kit now for 837 so it evens out just a matter of choice.

Very good point! lol. I think both ATR and Poston sell the up-pipe for 90ish. I picked up a very nice Mease 3" DP for 450, and as I see it, there is no better performance mod for the exhaust, than the Mease pipe and a dump. So, sink 1200 into the exhaust is most likely the easiest decision anyone should make for their TR!!!! I know Kenne Bell used to sell a Hot Air set-up also, but I saw two go on ebay for over 1100!!! THat's why I got Postons!
