power antenna

my antenna does not go up or down . but the engine works if it is conected. i wanted to now how to fix this or to change a gear or something. thanks Eric.

If you disconnect the antenna does the engine dies out

u mean if I disconnect the antena from the radio?or the power plug to the atena motor?which one?

Mast is probably broken inside the antenna. Do a search on this topic, it was covered in the last couple of weeks. G.M. part # is 22038195 for the part I'm guessing you need to fix it. HTH
