I have a dead batt in the labtop and would like to be able to run my turbo link in the car when i drive it so i can tune it.

Is there a way , ac dc adp or some thing where could i get one.

thanks guys

There are power inverters that you can buy on EBay, $70 for good ones if I'm not mistaken. There have been a few similar posts somewhere on this site, people there could help you out better than I.
What model laptop do you have?? Since my electrical system is kinda quirky, I wanted another battery. After some looking I got one on EBay pretty cheap, like $30. Good luck.

What kind/model laptop? There are some rare Compaq's that have the electric cord that plugs directly into the laptop, and the AC to DC conversion is done internally.

Most laptops require DC into them (11-16volts), and as such, a lot of folks run DC to AC power inverters. I personally don't care much for this method. Just more junk in the car, and most of them are pretty crumby models that shut down momentarilly when cranking the starter and the voltage drops below 11 volts. Wreaks havoc with a laptop that has NO battery reserve to keep it going during these few seconds.

My prefered method is to by a DC to DC converter to run the laptop from the cig lighter.
You can buy one for almost any laptop here: http://www.targus.com/accessories_power.asp
Very good and very dependable. and don't suffer any of the maladies that the inverters do.
