Looking for some help with the power seat on my 86 GN. It stopped adjusting several months ago. Haven't been able to address it as priorities were else where. I just had some work done on the car, but they were unable to do anything with the seat. The motor seems to be working and the coupler spins when the switch is activated, so I'm assuming the problem is with the transmission. Here's where things get sticky. The seat is all the way back and down, so the back mounting hardware is inaccessible.
Is there a way to manually move the seat forward to gain access to the rear mounting bolts? I've seen the power seat upgrade thread by Turbofish38. But can't consider that until I can get the seat out.
By the way, I went to gbodyparts.com and was floored by the price of the new after market transmission!?
If anyone has any suggestions it would be greatly appreciated.
