Way up under the dash, near the VIN plate, is a power strip that is always hot, not switched.

This is where the factory ran the power, a 10 ga. wire, under the carpet to the seat motor connector.

Yup and it's a bitch to get to, just about have to stand on your head but it's there. Most guys don't even know it's there.

I've installed both power seats in my GN and I did the best I could for a correct "factory-looking" installation. Below are some links that I hope will help you:

-->For the driver side, see post #3 in here: http://www.turbobuick.com/forums/threads/hook-up-for-power-seat.109822/#post-755109

and

-->For the passenger side, see post #1 in here: http://www.turbobuick.com/forums/th...at-installation-complete.219011/#post-1581735

and last

-->Here (post #5) about reversing the connections at the switch on the passenger side so everything moves in the right direction: http://www.turbobuick.com/forums/threads/right-side-power-seat.144904/#post-100537

These posts should answer most of your questions, but if you need more answers, just ask, it'll be my pleasure...

hope this helps,

Claude. ;)

That is because most old guys like us have not had LOTS of GN's apart, and then put back together again, and we are about done "standing on our heads"! :D

Cannot believe I have half a dozen customer GN's here to get work done after 25 years of doing this, they keep coming?
