How much is a power stroke intercooler worth in good cond. tips on installation, and where to get piping. how much e.t, or affect on boost levels, if still using stock turbo, are they really worth the effort of installing vs. a stocker?

powerstroke

Do a search on it, you will find a lot of information on the subject. They are some cutting the core support to make fit for the pipes and headlights buckets. full throttle speed can get the pipes also. That where i bought mine,u can get them at auto zone too. If it was me again i would go another way for performance. The intercooler are getting more expensive aroung 150.00 to 200.00, then a little over 100.00 for pipes, then all the work involed. Just my 2 cents

There is a lot of work involved in getting it in there. But I dont have numbers to give but I felt a hell of a difference between the ps and the stocker. Whats funny though is all the ricers at the track thought is was the radiator. The thing is HUGE!!! Mine cost me $100.00 and the piping and clamps were about another $100.00. $200.00 is not bad for the performance gain if you ask me. Oh yeah I did go to the local junk yard and get another radiator support for $100.00 and cut that one up. The original was already banged up from the previous owners accident.

Even after running hard you can lie your hand right on the outlet pipe and it is only luke warm! It cools the hot air charge so good it feels to be slighly above ambient temps. If you are not in a rush and are a decent fabricator it will look good when done too.If you cut off the 2 frame ears it sits under the header, this looks better and eliminates cutting alot more sheet metal.

Get a hold of me I have lots of pics, info and piping product numbers that work great with it. My phone is 651-775-9260. It would be easier to chat on the phone then mail back and forth. You'll be very happy, I dropped my ET over a second by just the intercooler swap form a stock one. Clal me and we'll chat. talk soon bud.
