Power Windows and Locks

Looking at a 86 GN to buy- it has everything I want except for power windows and locks. Is the wiring already in the harness for these options? Does anyone know? If I buy the car, I would like to add these and want to know how hard it would be to wire these in. Thanks

I have not looked into these options, but I have looked into adding factory cruise control to a '87 Turbo Regal non-factory equipped cruise control car, and for starters, the wiring harness will have to be changed inside the steering column, plus purchaing/chasing down the other parts. I did not get a price from my mechanic, but it was starting to sound pricey and a pain.
Haven't done it yet. So I would plan on the wiring harnesses being different and having to do the correct one/ones, plus all of the other fun that you are going to have.

I doubt the wiring will be in the doors for those options.

Wouldn't be a fun project for sure.

Easiest way most likely would be to swap doors.

And then do some serious wiring under the dash for door lock relays and such.

Window wiring is mostly in the doors however.

don't think so, there are aftermarket power window/lock kits out there
