powerlogger help

So I got the car with power logger on it and everything has been installed and worked in car but I have to install on my laptop. Tried everything I come up with the screen but no data found. When I try to close that is say unable to write... please help

got a com1 open error!!! the system could not find file specified

make sure you are not trying to run the program from a CD or from inside a compressed folder (ZIP file)

so take cd out of driver

I just finished installing the software on my new widows 8 laptop. It was quite the experience. windows 7 is not as bad, but you do have to manually install the drivers. You also have to do it twice. Once for the pl and once for the usb port. Make sure you are installing the newest version which is 1.4.
