To any one contemplating getting a PowerLogger its a no brainier.I am living proof that you don't have to be a computer geek to install and run this tuning tool.With the information on this site and a little help from the experts here any one can do it.It makes tuning,especially for a novice like myself,that much easier and safer.What I did was I incorporated a wide band system to log WB O2's, a transducer to log fuel pressure and I also installed a 3 bar MAP sensor and tapped into the signal wire to log boost.Now when I tune I just record and review the run to make accurate adjustments.There is only one word that comes to mind to describe the PowerLogger,"AWESOME" :biggrin:

My T was not running quite right. I was getting surging I never had before and an off idle stumble. I looked back at all my logs and noticed over time I had random MAF drop outs happing in my newer logs. My TPS also had an little inconstitant spot in the volts. Used that data to make up my mind to go with a Translator and LT1 MAF. My T now runs beautiful. I'm in love with it again. I fully believe the Powerlogger is well worth it. Is it "needed", no but for me its been a nice learning tool. It's very nice to be able to review your data and not loose it when you shut off the car like the Scanmaster does.

can't get into the TT chips if you install the 2.2 sm upgrade, can't even use the sm on its own with the 2.2 chip.

Got no idea what your talking about! I just reprogramed my chip after I realized I forgot to shut off the converter lock. No Powerlogger involved. My Scanmaster works fine without the Powerlogger installed. The newest TT 6.x chip does allow changing chip parameters with the Powerlogger rather than the Scanmaster/gas pedal deal.

I think im reterded then! All i can do is monitor it i cant save anything and view it. I hit space bar and it says its recording then i hit space bar again to stop and i cant find a file anywhere. Im not very computer friendly:mad:

After you hit the space bar to stop recording you then have to hit F3, and then S (save). YOu can then give it a name, click OK, it will ask for a comment which you can enter or not enter at your choice. Click OK to save the comment. Then if you want to review the file, just hit F3, then L (load), and find the file you named, and select it, press OK.

Speaking of enhancements, at the end of my PLC INI file I see this:

[Norbs]
O2GaugeSetting=0

It's something for you I guess, but what does it do when changing the values?

Well I was complaining the sd chip users who use a wideband the stock 02 gauge is useless. If you change the value to 1, you will get a gauge that reads IAT instead of O2:

:D

Ahhh, that makes sense. I continue to use the narrow band O2 gauge though because using the Translator Pro setup my ecm uses the narrowband O2 for idle and cruise, and jumps to wideband control when jumping to full throttle, so I use both the AFR and O2 gauges.

Thanks, I will try that :biggrin:
