An almost new Precision of New Hampton 3200 stall 9.5" lockup race converter. This one has all the good stuff- furnace brazed, big anti balloon plate, hardened aftermarket stator, and hardened turbine splines. I can't return this after it had fluid ran through it, so my loss is someone else's gain! I have only owned it for about a week, and it has about an hour of tranny dyno time on it, that's it! It performed perfectly on the dyno, of course. This converter was never installed or ran in a car. For those of you that don't know this company, their converters are almost bulletproof and they're very popular with the turbodiesel guys who are making 1000+ ft lbs of torque! My trans builder swears by these converters and he has therm installed in numerous 650-700 rear wheel horsepower street cars with no problems. The only reason I am selling is beacuse I have decided to move to a multi-disk lockup unit now. Check out the company's site at www.gopnh.com and look at the racing converter section for more info.

I paid $700+ shipping like 2 weeks ago, will sell for $600 + ship or you can pickup!

please email me direct at grinaldi@wi.rr.com

Convertor

I have had a change of mind.
This is not the "real" Precision Industries.
Sorry for the first post.
Good Luck!

Correct, this converter is manufactured by Precision of New Hampton, not Precision Industries.

Thanks

Gino

TTT - will also consider trades up or down - I need 60 or 83# injectors, new Champion intake, accufab 70mm TB, billet fuel rails, HR parts motor mounts, and also looking for a solid 8.5" 3.42 posi rear with good axles & posi.. let me know what you have!

Tranny

Why are you going to Multidisk Lockup convertor?
Aren't they noisy???
I do have an polished accufab 70 mm throttlebody.
I don't want to knock the convertor but why these guys???
If this was a "true" precision this would have been sold long ago.
Where are you buying the new convertor from?
I still need a convertor but I don't know these guys at all?
Is there any warranty or restall included with this convertor?
Are you taking offers???
Let me know.
Jason

I'm going with a multi disk lockup because I want to be able to lock up the converter on the big end at 30 psi :) That's not a good idea with any single disk converter in my opinion... I went with this converter because there is a ton of local guys running these converters in high HP street applications with NO problems. I like to stick with what works, and this company was highly recommended by my trans builder. As far as a warranty, i'm sure there is one, but i don't think there is a restall.

Thanks

It is a TRUE precision, just not a Precision Industries.

Convertor

Gino,
I am still looking at my options.
I also want to see what's at Bowling Green.
My car is still a work in progress.
I am in no big hurry!
Thanks for checking back though.
Jason

Still fort sale - I'll lower the price to $600 shipped. This is a steal for a new high end converter! Save $150+ over new.

Gino,
I just wanted to let you know what was up.
I ended up buying an Art Carr non-lockup convertor.
I bought it off of ebay and it was still new in the box.
I paid $409.00 plush shipping.
Not a bad deal.
I just didn't want to hold you up.
Good luck.
Thanks,
Jason

Careful. You may have bought an Art Carr converter but unless it came from California Performance Transmissions, where the real Art Carr works you may not have got what you think you have. He sold his company and name many years ago but has started up again under this new name. Art's a nice guy and builds some pretty high-emd stuff. I visited him in CA a few months ago. His converters are "the real thing" and cost around $900. If you paid $409 then either you got one heck of a deal or didn't get the real thing. Just fyi...
