I just received my Precision 5831. Do I need to lube the bearings or ?? before I install it? I'm sure there is oil already on the bushings but will it be fine if I just hook up the oil line and start the car? I don't have any way to really prime the system except just turn the motor over for a few minutes w/o the car starting.

I just disconnect the orange wire that goes to the computer, by the battery,I crank it over until I see about 20-30 lbs of oil pressure on my gauge. Connect the orange wire and start her up, I think once you see that amount of oil pressure, oil has reached the turbo. I don't know if its the correct way of priming the turbo, but it is what I do. Hope this helps, Kyle.

I always put oil into the top and spin wheels. It sucks the oil in as you spin it. Trust me, it is extra insurance.

Good to hear about the extra shot of lube. I was thinking about doing that but didn't know if it was necessary, but I'll do it now.
The compressor housing is getting polished now so when I get it it back I'll get it installed and see how it works..=D

I put a little EOS - engine oil supplement-through the turbo to help it stay lubed.

All good tips...Like mentioned....I always connect the drain line and then pour some 20w50 through the lube feed hole (fitting out of course) with a funnel and spin the wheels on turbo and add more oil several times, them assemble and drive.
