Where did you guys find the proper oil pump priming tool? I see that ARP makes a priming kit, but I'm not sure which one works for the 3.8 liter engine. I will be installing a new shortblock next month and I would like to get all of the tools/gaskets that I think I will need for later.

you have to get creative on the 3.8's. what I did was get a fat flat head screwdriver and cut the handle off to fit in the drill, wrap a little bit of duct tape on the blade to get it to stay in the slot on the pump gear.

Go to autozone and get a loaner GM priming tool. Take off the shield thingy off the end and grind the tab narrower, reinstall the shield thingy and done.
