Brad Personett booted his Toyota Celica to a 6.498 217.12 in the Pro RWD final to become the first in the 6.40's. That speed backed up his earlier 217.70 for a new speed record. Matt Hartford (Chevy Cavalier) set the ET record at 6.523 backed up with a 6.572.
Marty Ladwig ran his Cobalt to an 8.069 202.02 to be the first over 200 in a FWD. The 202 pass served as a backup for his 197.54 national record.
