Drove my GN and on the advise of many I increased fueling via chip TT5.6
From +10 to+18 to try and get the O2 up from 730-740 .
I made a run 22 psi had tire shake set of knock alarm aborted the just punched it from a roll and it ran but was weak feeling but the O2 was 800-830 .
It's warm today about 78 degrees. So that's some of it maybe. I made a couple more passes car was doggy slow barely spinning a tire even saw .7 knock and o2 was back at 740 again..,
I drive home and park it letting it idle to make sure it has time to cool off good and it's missing randomly not real bad and I see the scan master showing like .130 o2 .
Seems like its normally about 800 at idle I then notice its cycling and the Cc are like 200...
I thought this chip was open loop at idle .
TPs was .42 btw... Maf reading was 6 I think.
Bad o2 ? Maybe all the fuel killed it ?
Thanks
Bosh o2 btw.

What's your fuel pressure doing during all this? My WOT o2's were hanging around 730 for awhile also. Put a FP gauge on to see WOT reading of 48psi at 15 psi boost!!! After the new fuel pump(s), it was back to normal hanging around 790 consistently.

I don't have a fp gauge that I can read while driving,
Car ran much worse when I increased the fuel and the o2 started off over 800 but when down on the next run ,
After that the mis started and the o2 started bouncing at idle.

I just ordered a Denso O2 I've read many font like the Bosh ...
New fuel filter as well it's been a year.
I'll look into extending my fuel pressure gauge where I can tape it on the windshield .

tuning with just a scan master is a lil tricky cause the reading you see happened 2 weeks agoo_O the refresh rate is super slow......anyway back to what you did trying to get rid of kr by increasing fuel is partially a move in the correct direction however if you were getting 730-740 mv going +8% is a big jump.....as you saw your mv jumped to 800-830 and the car slowed because it was pig rich.

I would suggest to first verify your fuel pressure with a good working gauge as mentioned....second would be to verify all your standard items basically the "spring cleaning" things ....fuel filter...wires...plugs etc then go from there. But it sounds like the kr came from tire shake which is normal if that is the only kr you are getting then your tune sounds fine. However 730mv is a bit on the lean side. From your sig you also have alky...is it working properly...where is it set?

Just a free piece of advice that most TB guys will tell you.....anytime you start making adjustments i.e fuel, timing, boost etc.....always take small steps and small adjustments at a time...these cars respond to little changes and running your car at 22psi sh8t can go wrong real fast.

best of luck;)

Thanks I know I moved it a lot I wanted to see the o2 move I went from 0 to10 the o2 moved 690 to 740.
I have Razor's alky that .7 retard was the first knock I've seen since it was installed set on 6 btw.

I am concerned about the idle miss it had been doing this when cold
But not after warm up and I don't remember the o2 switching at idle.
Any ideas on what to look for welcomed .
I hope it's just the o2 sensor.

I don't use the SM, but AIRC, it reports O2 X counts, when the system is in closed or open loop.

With the Open loop idle on the chip it seems the O2 shouldn't be switching unless something was messed up.

I pulled the O2 sensor today and was going to exchange it since it was under warranty .
Turns out AutoZone screwed me and failed to enter the warranty information.
I guess I'll wait for the Denso unit I ordered to come in.
Oh one other think I have AC 42 plugs in it they are colder I think than the stock 43s .
GDP is a tight .035.

Should I go back to 43s ?
I was trying to protect against knock.
Might I have a fouled plug ?

Seems though in open loop the fueling would be constantly rich and it seems it read around 800 before this started . I never looked at CC till now at idle. I found my old O2 sensor that I think. Was working fine I changed it while I had the engine out just because it was easy to do at the time . It is an AC delco unit and I am thinking about putting it back in just to see what it does.

Ok I put the old AC Delco O2 back in the car it seems to be working the cc advance pretty quick under cruise but are dead still at idle with a o2 of about 650.
I reset the chip fueling back to 140 . I think that's 9.4 % rich .
Made a run o2 was 780. Car felt good again power was back to normal .
Made 2 more runs in quick succession o2was back in the 730s.
Drove around let things cool off made a run to about 100 and watched the SM the o2 was steady at 773 dropped to 765 at the end for one scan. Maybe this is what's throughing me I typically make 2-3 quick rolling runs and the o2 sensor gets hot and the output drops?
I made another run after about a 5 minute cool down and o2 was 770-760 again..
Retard stayed at zero except for once on a dead stop when I had a lot of tire shake the alarm was wailing everything I tried a dead stop take off on anything other than smooth pavement.

Miss seems to be gone now too...
