How would you like to have an adjustable pressure controlled propane bottle warmer? :D
Right now the pressure range is approx. 130 to 200 psi.
Then throw in a digital pressure gauge for you to monitor the bottle pressure from the driver seat.
I have been talking with Dan Corbosiero at DynoTune in MA about their products and he put this SYSTEM together for me. I didn't show all the hardware, wires and connectors that comes with the kit. Brad wanted the round gauge readout for his gauge pod.

It will be used on one of Jay's units that hasn't been installed yet on Brad Apple's 87 GN.
It will be a few weeks before everything is installed and some testing done but I just had to post about this neat setup.
Right now it isn't cheap but quality never is.

This is the first kit that Dan has put together (for propane) and he will be making some tweaks to it to make it better as he gets feed back.
Dan built this kit from parts that he uses for nitrous kits and is wanting to make sure that everything works right seeing that he doesn't run propane himself.
You are welcome to call him at 1-978-337-0866 to see if he needs another tester.

Hey Gary. Wanted to touch base with you. Got my gauge pod in and that is ready to go. Was going to see about this weekend for the install but the weather forecast doesn't look too good. Calling for a wintry mix on Friday. Anyway, maybe Saturday will be clear and I can get down there. Getting very anxious to get this setup installed to see how it performs. Very slick looking setup. I'll be in touch.

Be aware that this stuff is UNTESTED and please use due caution. We had been working with Dan at SpeedShop.Org on this stuff and rather than send us the pieces to test as was the original plan, he sold them to our end users without them being tested.

While they probably work okay, keep in mind that they are untested when you are working with them. I'd hate to see something bad happen.

Thank for the warning, Jay.
Dan did inform me of those facts.

Caution is always to exercised even when using tested parts and more so when proto testing.

I have prior experience working with using propane in vehicles.
Edit: I should have said that I worked as an installer of the propain conversion systems for the company.
I use to work with a company that converted vehicles to run on alternate fuel i.e. propane and natural gas.
That could have been why Dan liked all my technical questions concerning how everything worked. He has already made some changes to the system and is looking into several other changes that I have suggested, that will make the system more "Safe".

What I really like is the remote digital readout of the bottle pressure and it's accuracy (+/-1%).

Gary

Sorry that you missed the point.

Good luck with your testing.

Pretty clever.....

I had some experence working with propane when I was a kid.
I worked at a storage yard part time when Old Lucky needed help. He used old empty propane tanks to fill tires, just leave them in the sun and they fill up on their own, never needed to refill with air that I knew of.

Well, one hot summer day all that came to an end. The last time I ran into Old Lucky he couldn't scratch his own ass without help.
