pro's and con's on otc 2000

need a little help guys , do these take a labtop or no ive never seen one but i do see a few for sale on and off pretty cheap.

what are the good and bad with these scan tools.

They don't use a laptop ... they are a stand alone box. They show 2 readings on an LED screen and have sofware cartridges for different vehicles.

well what about the the ones that do use a laptop do they use a disk or a cd-rom?

Yes ...

Seriously, the DOS based ones use a floppy and will run off the harddisk once installed. The new TurboLink V3.0 will be available on a CD and we'll probably also make a floppy set, if you request it.
