This is a question for the folks out there who are running the PTE FMIC. How much boost have you been able to run with no NR on 93 oct + no Alky.

I recently replaced my stock turbo and intercooler as well as the stock radiator. I have not drilled the 3" up pipe for my Razor Progressive ALKY yet.

Before the upgrades the most boost I could run with 93 oct was about 15# before I would get some NR.
Now I have only had my combo (TA 49+ PTE FMIC +BeCool w/ ramfans) running about a week but I have had the boost up to 18# (87* and humid ) and no NR. I think this is great.

I am running an extender alky chip and have added 4 more degress of timing for a total of 27* in low gears.

Just wondering what the rest of you have experienced.

I wouldn't run high timing with just 93 octane...run no more than 20 degrees...I've had my car up to almost 20 psi of boost with my new combo on straight 93 no alky...of course my turbo has a very efficient compressor wheel plus the RJC powerplate helps...the front mount is the real deal if you do the dual fans and an aluminum radiator...if not then get a stock location intercooler from us!

Sorry to go off subject but I saw you were from N.C. too. Where did you get your new radiator from? Mine is in need of repair. Thanks.

I had the Be-cool backordered (4-6 weeks) with ramchargers but Jegs had one in stock. You might try some of the sponsers of this board - I always try them first. Unfortunatly the only one that had the Be-cool Rad with both trans + oil coolers in stock was Jegs. It was the last one they had also.

Well you could probably get away with running higher boost by dropping the timing. So as sixgun86gn wrote, 19/17 will allow more boost than the alky setup of 23/21. Tho if you can get the car dialed in to run 19-20 PSI on 93.. it will scream to 26-28 PSI no problem on alcohol. Once you taste 26-28.. it wont go back to 19-20 :D

When you get the kit installed.. and start dialing it in.. need some assist.. drop me a call.. be my pleasure to help.
