pulling motor or not to pull the motor?

gonna be going to champion new alum heads should i pull motor? and what else should i check while i am there?

I just replaced headgaskets in my t type a month or so ago. We determined that it would be easier to just pull the motor. If you are using head studs, it is possible to do them while the motor is in, but it would probably be time ahead to pull the motor.

If you are only changing the heads, there is no need to pull the motor. You'll curse and hit things getting the back head bolt out of the passenger side head (assuming you still have the heater box installed), but it can be done. Other than that, no problems getting the heads on and off with the motor in the car.
