So, after 8 months of bringing my car back and forth to a local trans shop to have it repaired over and over again, I thought I was finally on the home stretch. Basically all the parts on it that can be replaced have been replaced - inlcuding a new 10 vane pump. It still didn't feel 100% like it did before, but it was close.
Yesterday, I hear a POP!, get a lot of loud clicking from the front cover, and have no motion at all - not even an attempt. Does that sound like the pump? Called the trans guy, he said bring it back Monday. I'm guessing (hoping) he'll replace the pump without charging me. I really haven't driven the car much, nor even been to the track with it. I was just leaving a stop sign and BANG!. The only thing I have done to it is replace the TC. I had a red stripe in it that was bad. Could I have done something to cause the pump to fail when I swapped converters?
Thanks,
Jim
