pump placement?

quick question does it matter which way the alky pump is placed?
ie motor up head with hoses down?

reason i ask is my kit bought in 04 there is no mention of it, but my boys kit says motor up (bought his this year)

Mine is installed with motor on top and the hose fittings at the bottom and the Alky sticker reading

Never had a problem except having to replace the diaphragm, but that's common after a few years.

On that kit, back at that time.. head up.. thats how it was done. Knowing what we know now.. its a different game. So now its heads down due to the sleeve on the pump to keep water from getting into the motor. So your both correct.. just a timeline/development deal

The car I just bought had a pump already mounted with the motor up.

My original kit had the motor down. When I replaced it, I put the motor up.
