Pump Stator Question?

I finally have a BFR trans to put in my car. The right way to do it would be to rebuild it now, however, no funds, other projects, the list goes on and on. So I'm planing on putting this trans in and running it hopefully for the season.

I did notice that on inspection this part:

HEAT TREAT PUMP STATOR TUBE #24RCC/PST

Shows ware? Well the splines look like they are only half there. At least I think it's this part:confused: Is this the peice that you can see in the front case, that the main shaft goes through?

Secondly, how hard is this to replace?

Correct. It's the piece the input shaft goes through :) It's pretty easy to replace. You have to pull the pump. It installs from the back of the pump. It's a press fit held in with 3 torx screws.
 
Doing mine too ..... but the torx screws strip easily ..... replace with grade 5 10mm head bolts .... I think they were M6 x 1.0, if I remember correctly! :smile:
